850 Surf Report – Destin Rentals

I want to first start by saying, all of these Destin Surf Reports were posted on our facebook page. Follow the page and get all of our summer reports. We will begin posting our daily reports on the website during the fall, but until then, we are going to do the majority of it on facebook!

Any surf in Destin during the summer without the aid of a hurricane is a miraculous event. And that is exactly what happened last week. We had a few days of solid waist high surf. Some of the days were clean and others were choppy. Here are a few of the pictures.

June 6th at the Back Porch in Destin:

Waves were solid waist high and the start of a fun week of surf in Destin.

June 7th at the Back Porch in Destin:

This was by far the best day out of the whole week. Surf was Chest to Head high and super clean. They were a little weak at the Back Porch but I attribute that to the depth of the water.

June 8th at the Back Porch in Destin:

The epic surf of the day before did not decide to stay. But the surf on the 8th was still decent, just real windy with a lot of sections. It was running about waist high.

June 9th at the Okaloosa Island Pier:

Surf was wind blown and choppy at the Okaloosa Island Pier. It was surfable but not by much.

June 10th at the Back Porch:

Surf was thigh to waist high and super sloppy. I thought the swell was over.

June 11th at the Back Porch in Destin:

Surf has waist high sets but the form is mushy. The wind is on it. I was able to catch a few waves but overall is was only a workout.

June 12th at the Back Porch in Destin:

The early morning was sloppy but at about 9 am the wind turned offshore. The surf cleaned up and was running about knee high.

Keep an eye on the forecast because we might have surf again this Saturday!
